IDR INSTALLED IN WINTERGARDEN

East Wintergarden, set in the heart of Canary Wharf, is a unique and modern piece of architecture catering for special events all year round. Having installed the original sound system in East Wintergarden, Autograph was invited back to re-align the system to the venue now that acoustic treatment and the new loudspeaker locations had been completed. The system comprises of two drops of Meyersound M1D and subs for the main Front of House system, with two M1D loudspeakers as under balcony delays. A further compliment of four Meyer Sound UPJ-1P loudspeakers for delays on the balcony ensures complete and even coverage of the building.

The whole system is controlled by an Allen & Heath iDR-8 matrix system allowing multiple feeds to be chosen at the touch of a button from the PL-4 wall plates around the venue. Feeds from the satellite systems, network radio, radio microphones and 2-track playback systems are easily selected via presets on the iDR system. This also allows remote control of outputs and inputs utilising a PL-5. The iDR is also on the company network allowing password-protected access for the sound engineers to setup the system remotely and monitor the system whilst corporate events are in progress. The whole sound system offers exceptional flexibility in a very compact package allowing many different functions to be realised by the venue. Functions range from live bands and orchestras, corporate dinners, Christmas events, cinema, Q&A sessions plus many more.
