PL-Designer

The iDR System
Manager 3.60 comes with PL-Client - a powerful
new interface for designing virtual wallplates
and enabling control of the Allen &
Heath iDR series of mixers from a PC running
Windows 95, NT, 98, ME, 2K and XP.
PL Designer is
incredibly simple to use and offers control
and diagnostic devices such as faders, mutes,
meters etc. which can be selected from a
palette and positioned over a bitmap background.
These devices
can then be individually mapped to devices
of the same type on the iDR or assigned
a function such as monitor select or patch
recall.
The result is
the creation of customised, virtual wallplates.
The PC can then be directly or network connected
to the iDR for system control.
For more information
on setting up and configuring PL Designer/Client
view the online
documentation.
PL-Client

PL Client, which
is integrated with iDR System Manager, is
the end user software, containing only the
control elements in a .drd file with the
design devices removed for tamperproof operation.
When installing the system manager application
file you will be given the option of performing
a typical, compact or custom installation.
Choosing compact will install PL Client
only. For more information on setting up
and configuring PL Designer/Client view

How
to Register the PL-Client
Software
NOTE: In version 3.60 onwards there is no need to register the PL-Client software.
We hope you have found the 10 day trial
of PL-Client useful. To continue using
the software you will need to register
with us so that we can supply you
with a software key.
You will
need the Hardware Fingerprint
which is the 8 digit code taken from
the network card on your PC and the
Mac Address of your iDR unit.
PL-Client
will display your Hardware Fingerprint
when you run the program and attempt
to register it.
A
Key cannot be generated for your PL-Client
without this information.
